" I know the need for mental health. I started down this path as I fell into a deep depression where I couldn't leave my room for three months. I started reading and researching about mental health, that's how I discovered art therapy. Now I am an art therapist, and I help adults, children, youth, families, couples. I do circles, workshops and individual therapies. "

Frida, 12 years old. Started art therapy when she was 6 year old. She suffered from many insecurities cause by bullying when she was in first grade. She became very quiet, she didn't have friends, her grades started to go down. She started to get behind in her academic education.
Art therapy has helped her overcome those insecurities and know at 12, she socializes more. She still struggles to talk more when she meets someone new, but that happens to most human beings. She loves painting anime, and uses purples, blues and blacks when using acrylics and watercolors.
This painting which she named "Light, Emptiness, Sadness", represents some of her emotional struggles in school.

It is a group practice, with a frame that contains three moments, the slogan, the production and the closing, where each participant talks about their production, in a group interaction.
The main objective is to connect each member of the group with their creative aspects through the image, that is, to activate their creative psyche, to overcome, sometimes, their verbal limits that cause certain ailments. Within the framework of Art Therapy, it is usually understood that non-verbal expressions take the place of putting the unthinkable, the unspeakable, into shape. It is not only intended for people with different pathologies, physical or mental, but also for people who are affected by different social situations: abandonment, homelessness, addictions, gerontological patients and any group that requires the experience.
We live in the age of information and technology, noise and more noise, cell phones, laptops, etc.; they make silence and listening, speaking from the heart, a mission that is sometimes almost impossible.
The demands of being super moms, wives, daughters, mothers, friends, often make us forget to give ourselves that time of re-connection, with that unique inner strength that we all have.
The Women's Circles are spaces to give us that time; it is a decision and a personal experience in which each woman faces in the mirror, through the gaze, with another essentially the same, without labels or labels with that uniqueness that is recognized, without hierarchies.
The Healing with the Arts Workshop contains teachings, guided imagery exercises, and art projects to help heal what needs to be healed in a person's life. With art, the darkness or darkness of our world can be healed.
This workshop aims to show how the person can deepen their creativity or healing, through personal introspection on emotional, intellectual and spiritual levels, with a mind that can show how these two worlds are connected in a natural way (creativity and healing) and , how the person as Artist can be the voice and hands of the Inner Healer.Interior.
It is aimed at health, art and education, taking as a fundamental tool the visual and audiovisual arts in their various practices, with therapeutic objectives, aimed at activating the creative psyche.
